What is Anoscopy?
An “anoscopy” is a medical procedure performed to further evaluate the anus and rectum. An anoscopy is performed by inserting a small sterile device scoping device called an “anoscope” into the anus. The light and magnification of the anoscope provides the surgeon a more detailed look at the tissue within the anus and rectum.
