This review is being updated to reflect additional surgical intervention related to incompetence from the surgery I had with Dr. Kimberly Matzie on August 6, 2020. What should have been a simple surgery for rectal prolapse has turned into a 6 1/2 year nightmare. Since that procedure, I have required five additional surgeries. The most recent included complete removal of my large intestine and creation of an ileostomy, which I will likely have for the remainder of my life. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision about their care. Please do your research and choose a physician other than Dr. Matzie.

This was the best experience I have ever had with a colonoscopy procedure, and there have been a few. The nurse came and got me for the prepping, discussed any questions I had, the procedure was explained, I met Dr. Christina Cheng's surgical team, and was immediately moved to surgery. Everything went smoothly, as planned. After the anesthesia wore off, my results were explained, and I was good to go. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. There was no apprehension in placing myself in their skillful care. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Hello Dr Tillou ! I just wanted to thank you and everyone at Fairfax C&R. I have some family history of C&R Cancer. You accepting my Cardinal Care Insurance is massively appreciated. I was not sure what was going to happen with our current administration challenges. The cancer variable can cause a little inner mental trauma. I can now get back to my work with a new peace of mind... and heart. You are all greatly appreciated.

Dr. Tillou is knowledgeable, he listens respectfully, presents and discusses options with his patient. I am very pleased to meet the doctor. I meet Dr. Tillou back in Oct 2024 to address my chronic hemorrhoid issues. At first, I have a thought that I need to have the hemorrhoidectomy but after listening carefully, he rules out the surgery option, which is considered as the most painful surgery. It turns out that I have external thrombosed hemorrhoid and I see the doctor in Dec where he performs an in-office procedure to remove my pain. As of today, it seems the issue is resolved and I am very happy with the result. I highly recommend Dr. Tillou and the office if you need help on "the most annoying and painful thing" that you might have at the most sensitive part of the body (I wish you do not :)).

Dr. Kim is an amazing surgeon and a kind, compassionate human being. On two occasions in 2013, and later in 2019, it was her skillful hands working in God's grace that literally saved the life of my wife. Beth passed away recently, but we will never be able to find the words to express our gratitude to this very special doctor. Beth enjoyed nearly 13 years of extended life, the birth of three grandchildren, and many fond memories. Thank you Dr. Kim; God bless you.
