After hours phone calls will be answered by our answering service. For urgent questions or problems, one of the surgeons is on-call after normal business hours and will be reached by the answering service when needed. They should be contacted only for urgent issues that can not wait until the next business day.  It is inappropriate to call the on-call physician for medication refill requests that should be handled during normal business hours. If you have a medical emergency or a life threatening situation, please call 911 immediately.

During normal business hours physicians and clinical staff are caring for patients throughout the day. Our clinical staff will be making return phone calls throughout the day as well as after patient care. Your calls will be answered as soon as if feasible.  Calling more than once for the same problem only delays the process of returning your message. However, please call if there is a change in the patient’s condition.

Please note the busiest days for our phone lines at our office are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For non-urgent appointments and inquiries, we suggest that calling on Tuesday or Thursday will increase the likelihood of having your call answered more rapidly.

PRESCRIPITION REFILLS:

If you have not been seen in the last 6 months, we will not refill any medications, unless you schedule an appointment. Otherwise use our on-line service to request a refill. It generally takes between 2-3 business days for routine refill request. However, some prescriptions cannot be refilled without an office visit. We cannot call in prescriptions for Percocet, Dilaudid, Valium or other restricted medications (state law).

You may submit a request for prescription refill online.
